We have a lot of thoughts going on in our brain. It is said that there are around 60,000 thoughts everyday. That is a lot of thoughts. Can we say that some of the thoughts would be in conflict with each other. For example if we want to exercise, some of us have opposing thoughts. We might think  “Do we have to do it now? Are my muscles going to get hurt? Why not go tomorrow?” etc. To be fair there are a lot of people motivated to exercise and they do it well. The duality of thoughts creates conflict or chaos in the brain. If there are no opposing thoughts we would not have a problem going to the gym. The duality of thought creates a sense of unsettlement in the brain. I think anger, suffering, and frustration are manifestations of duality of thought. A calm mind would not have any duality. Even though there is duality it would not affect you that much. Understanding your conflicting thoughts would help to reduce their impact. You can understand your duality of thoughts through awareness.
